LAS VEGAS -- Dickinson State senior wrestler Justin Schlecht made it to the quarterfinals of the Cliff Keen Invitational on Friday night before being pinned by Wisconsin junior Dallas Herbst.
Herbst pinned the two-time 197-pound NAIA national champion in 1 minute, 12 seconds.
Schlecht had earned a 4-2 decision over the University of Pennsylvania's Dan Zander in the Round of 32 and a 9-4 decision against Cal State-Fullerton's John Drake in the Round of 16.
DSU wrestlers Cory Johnston, Jake Toavs and Eli Zuniga all lost out in wrestlebacks late Friday night. Schlecht wrestles today.
