Scott David Dietz, 53, Beach, formerly of Nekoma, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008. He died at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Dickinson, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Scott David Dietz, 53, Beach, formerly of Nekoma, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008. He died at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Dickinson, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial visitation is from 4-7 p.m. today, Feb. 26, 2008, with family greeting friends at the Beach Evangelical Church in Beach. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m. at the church.

A celebration of Scott's life is at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at the Emmanuel Evangelical Church, 1120 15th Ave., Langdon, with the Rev. Byron Dealey officiating.

To honor Scott's wishes, he will be cremated.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 32 years, Judy; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dirk and Tracey Dietz, Grand Island, Neb., and Jeramy Dietz, Fergus Falls, Minn.; his mother and step-father, Jean and Marvin Moen, Edmore; his brother and sister-in-law, Gavin and Kathy Dietz, Valley City; his sister, Elizabeth Moen, Minnetonka, Minn.; his nephews, Brandon Dietz and Joshua Dietz both of Bismarck.

Scott is also survived by his father-in-law, Bill Verwey, Nekoma; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Becky Verwey, Valley City, Jan and Ed Kouba, Bismarck, John and Marlys Verwey, Bismarck, Gary and Patti Verwey, Fremont, Calif., Dawn and Don Roppel, Fairdale, and many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
