RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A 25-year-old Manderson man acknowledged that he drank alcohol and backed over a woman.
Gerald Cottier Jr. pleaded guilty in federal court to assault resulting in serious bodily injury. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine.
According to court documents signed by Cottier, he put the car in reverse on Aug. 30 near Manderson and backed over Wiconi Little Moon, who was treated for a dislocated hip, broken leg and knee lacerations.
