Slope Electric Cooperative linemen and contractors are continuing to focus on getting power back on in the Cedar Butte, Mott and Haynes substations after the snowstorm that came through last Friday.
The cooperative reported Thursday morning that there are more than 70 contractors and linemen from neighboring co-ops working alongside Slope Electric workers to help restore power.
Slope Electric estimates it lost between 600 and 700 poles in the storm, which has kept some people without power for more than a week. The cooperative said some people will regain power today, while for others it could be well into next week.
Those who see downed power poles or lines are being told to stay away from them and report them to Slope Electric by calling 701-579-4191 or 800-559-4191, or emailing safety@slopeelectric.com with location information and a photo if possible.
