Stacey Lee Meduna, 34, beloved wife and mother of three sons, died Friday, July 6, 2007, following a courageous 17-year battle with cancer.

Funeral Mass is held Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 1 p.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1321 Braman Ave. in Bismarck, with the Rev. Tom Richter officiating.

Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007, at Bismarck Funeral Home, 3723 Lockport St., north on U.S. Highway 83 & Calgary Ave., with a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church.

Stacey was born August 22, 1972, in Grafton, to Gail Mattson. She attended high school in New England and graduated from Dickinson State University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.

On May 11, 1996, she was united in marriage to Gregory L. Meduna in Dickinson.

Stacey worked in the schools of Rapid City, S.D., Decatur, Ill., and most recently in the Bismarck school district as a substitute teacher.

Stacey was a woman that believed deeply in God and found great strength in prayer. She loved, and lived for, her family, enjoying camping and school activities with them. Stacey also enjoyed scrapbooking with her friends.

She was a bargain shopper and was always finding deals for friends and family. Stacey had an amazing ability to remain positive and she always made the best out of every situation. She was a woman with uncommon strength and intelligence.

She loved to help others, had a quick wit, and was an outstanding cook and homemaker.

Stacey is survived by her husband, Gregory; her sons, Christopher, 10, Zachary, 8, and Brayden, 6; two sisters, Jen (Jeff) Semerad and Carrie (Jim) Hjellming; one brother, Mike (Sheila) Belland; two brother-in-laws, Mark Meduna and Jon (Kelli) Meduna; two sister-in-laws, Kristen (Chris) Coleman and Brittney Meduna; her parents, Tim and Gail Belland; in-laws, Bill and Lydia Meduna. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by two grandfathers and one grandmother.
