The Stark County Spelling Bee came down to the word mystique, spelled correctly by South Heart eighth-grader Johnathan Metz at Dickinson Trinity High School on Thursday, Feb. 8.
Metz and Taylor-Richardton sixth-grader Jared Zent were the last two standing during the final round.
The top 10 spelling bee champions this year included: Lisa Yang, Jared Zent, Andi Lefor, Morgan Grosulak, Lindsey Miller, Sean Kelly, Bradley Messer, Johnathan Metz, Aric Greene and Jaysen McDowell.
