The Dickinson Police Department is asking the public to be aware of a suspicious person sighted near Dickinson's Berg Elementary Monday.
The subject is a white, 25-30 year-old male about 6-foot tall and fit build. He was wearing a black trench coat and a baseball cap. The individual was seen Monday at the Berg Elementary playground during recess.
The playground supervisor reported seeing him walk by the playground two to three times and later, talking to the children. When approached by the playground supervisor, he ran and left in a mid- to late 1990s black Chevrolet Suburban with dark tinted windows.
"No crime has been committed," Lt. Rick Shirey said. "We are just asking parents and kids to be more wary this time of year."
