The National Weather Service has placed southwest North Dakota, including Stark and surrounding counties, under a high wind warning this morning into this evening.
Wind is expected to become westerly and the strongest winds are expected over southwest North Dakota and into south central portions of the state during the late morning, according to the service.
Speeds are expected at 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible.
Thunderstorms, some possibly severe, are also likely in Stark, Morton, Slope, Hettinger, Bowman and Adams counties through this evening, according to the service.
