A 16-year-old male threatened Prairie Hills Mall security with a baseball bat after being suspended from school Tuesday, according to the Dickinson Police Department.

The teen was walking around Kmart swinging two baseball bats around when he struck and damaged a display, according to police.

"When he was approached by security, he raised the bat and told him he would use it," said Lt. Rod Banyai, adding he didn't actually strike anybody and no one was hurt.

Police then took him to the Dickinson Law Enforcement Center.

"He was cited into juvenile court for terrorizing and disorderly conduct," Banyai said.
