A 17-year-old Dickinson male was arrested Saturday morning after police reportedly caught him stealing items from unlocked vehicles on Third Street West in Dickinson.
"A citizen had seen him and called us," said Dickinson Police Lt. Dave Wallace. "A foot chase ensued and they (officers) were eventually able to apprehend him."
Officers allege the teenager had been drinking and possessed drugs.
He was reportedly arrested for criminal trespass, theft of property, fleeing an officer on foot, unlawful entry to a motor vehicle, underage drinking, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Knives, prescription medications, change and a digital camera were among the items the young man allegedly stole from the vehicle.

Wallace said it's unclear how many vehicles the teen went through.
The vehicles involved in the theft did not appear to be damaged, Wallace said.
