FARGO--A third man charged in the death of 35-year-old Joey Gaarsland following a fight outside Rick's Bar in May of 2015 has pleaded guilty to charges in the case.

Jessy D. Olson pleaded guilty in Cass County District Court to one count of accomplice to murder and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

The pleas were Alford pleas, meaning they have the same impact as a guilty plea but the defendant only admits there is enough evidence for a conviction if the case went to trial.

Two other men charged in the case, Nicholas Morris and Scott Moen, pleaded guilty to charges earlier, while a fourth person charged in Gaarsland's death, Jason Oien, is scheduled to stand trial March 29.

Neither Morris nor Moen have been sentenced yet.
