WASHINGTON – North Dakota’s U.S. senators announced Tuesday three federal grants of nearly $2 million to support upgrades and needed maintenance to the Stanley, Edgeley, and Harvey municipal airports.
The federal grants are made available through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration.
The Stanley Municipal Airport Authority will receive $926,632 for the expansion of the aviation apron to provide for additional aircraft parking and to extend the taxiway to accommodate the aircraft that use the airport.
The Edgeley Municipal Airport Authority will receive $684,572 to support needed maintenance to the airport’s runway, aviation apron, and taxiway.
The Harvey Municipal Airport Authority: $347,723 to support upgrades and repairs to several of the airports lighting systems and guidance systems for better pilot navigation and aircraft safety.
