JAMESTOWN (AP) -- Dick Karlgaard, DeWayne King and Jim Kleinsasser will be inducted into the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame and will receive the Cliff Cushman Award next summer.
Karlgaard is a former Bismarck school athletic director who helped form the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, and twice was named National High School Athletic Director of the Year.
King, a Cando native, made his mark as a college coach. He was the head football coach at Wheaton College and San Jose State, producing winning programs with a number of All-Americans.
Kleinsasser, of Carrington, is a Minnesota Vikings tight end. The Vikings take a five-game winning streak into Sunday night's NFL game with the Washington Redskins.
"I think we're all starting to kind of believe in what we're doing," said Kleinsasser, who is in his ninth year with the Vikings.
