HETTINGER -- The Dickinson Trinity High School volleyball team served exceptionally well in a 3-0 win over Hettinger here Thursday. Trinity swept 25-18, 25-14 and 25-12.
"We played pretty good," Trinity coach Brad Foss said. "Our serving was the highlight of our night. We played pretty good for our opening-season match. They hit their spots, they put spin on the ball, they served hard..."
Chelsea Roshau and Kayla Boespflug each had five aces and Katie Gordon added three. Gordon also had seven digs and Roshau added eight assist and six digs.
"The first game was a little close," Foss said. "We led pretty much the whole night."
Hettinger was led by Sally Markgard's 15 digs and nine assists.

Dickinson Trinity will play host to Beach on Thursday.
Hettinger will go on the road to face Belfield-South Heart at Belfield on Tuesday.
Trinity improves to 4-2 overall. Hettinger drops to 0-2.
