NEW TOWN -- Dickinson Trinity had two touchdowns on the scoreboard before its offense even touched the ball Friday night.

Tommy Peters returned the opening kick for an 85-yard touchdown and Nathan Hibl returned New Town's punt 40 yards to the end zone to open the floodgates for a 59-0 Class AA, West Region win.

The Titans held a 35-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and led 47-0 at halftime.

New Town is playing with depleted numbers.

"They've lost too many kids during the year and its tough going for them," Trinity coach Randy Gordon said.

Trinity quarterback Aaron Grinsteinner was 3 of 3 for 49 yards passing. The sophomore connected with Marcus Sickler for a 30-yard touchdown pass and scrambled in from 12 yards out for a score in the first quarter.

All of Trinity's nine touchdowns were scored by different players.

"Everybody got to play," Gordon said. "It was good for the younger kids to play."
