HAZEN -- Three Dickinson Trinity track and field athletes qualified for the Class B state tournament at the Hazen Invitational, the Titans' first meet of the season on Friday.
Senior Scott Murphy won the boys high jump. Junior Taylor Braunberger took first in both the girls 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs. Sophomore Breanna Messer took home top honors in the 100 hurdles.
"We had a pretty good day, considering it was the first meet," Titans coach Craig Kovash said. "We had a lot of decent efforts. We're really close in a lot of areas.
"This first meet we wanted to see where we were at and we're pretty pleased where we're at at this point."
Due to computer malfunctions at the meet, complete times and results were unavailable late Friday night.
