BURLINGTON -- After picking up a win and a tie on Friday night, the Dickinson Trinity volleyball team finished the Des Lacs-Burlington Invitational with a 1-3 record on Saturday.
The Titans split their final pool-play matches, defeating Tioga in two games and falling to Park River in two games.
The Titans still qualified for the Gold Division, but failed to pick up a win in tournament play.
Entering as the second seed, Trinity was swept by Langdon in two games and in the consolation bracket, lost to Thompson in three games. The Titans lost game three by a mere two points.
"I think part of it is handling the pressure and the level of intensity when playing good teams," Trinity coach Brad Foss said. "I think our kids froze a little bit."
