Traffic along Hwy. 85 in McKenzie Co. to be slowed by projects

WATFORD CITY -- Traffic along U.S. Highway 85 south of Watford City will be moved to a newly paved lane south of McKenzie County Road 30 beginning today.

WATFORD CITY - Traffic along U.S. Highway 85 south of Watford City will be moved to a newly paved lane south of McKenzie County Road 30 beginning today.
Road work crews will shift a work zone, and traffic is being moved to an adjacent lane for about a mile. The work is part of the Southwest Watford City Bypass project Traffic will be rerouted and will be head to head for lane work in the area.
Other work is being done at the intersection of Highway 85 and state Highway 200 West two miles north of Alexander, which will lead speeds to be reduced to 25 mph. Flaggers will be in place to help allow construction equipment to enter and exit the roadway.
Trucks will be entering and exiting the roadway through late September.
