At 8:45 a.m. the North Dakota Department of Transportation issued a statewide travel alert due to blowing and drifting snow.
Highway 21 is blocked from Carson to New Leipzig due to snow drifts.
A no travel advisory remains for the south central and south eastern region of the state.
Highways in the no travel advisory are:
· All highways south of I-94 from Bismarck to the Minnesota border
ADVERTISEMENT
· Highway 83 from I-94 to the South Dakota border
· Highway 81 from I-94 to the South Dakota border
· I-29 from Christine to the South Dakota border
Due to zero visibility from heavy snowfall, weather conditions are making it unsafe for snow plows to be out on roads in Lidgerwood, Wyndmere, Whapeton, Lisbon and Foremen areas. Plows will resume operation when it is safe.
