The Dickinson Trinity girls basketball team has had a domineering season, finishing with a 16-3 regular-season record and going undefeated in District 14.

At the District 14 Tournament, the Titans will even have the home-court advantage.

The tournament begins at 6 p.m. Friday at the Knights of Columbus Activities Center.

Fourth-seeded Beulah and fifth-seeded Killdeer start the action with the winner playing top-seeded Dickinson Trinity at 6 p.m. Saturday.

"I think our biggest challenge going into the tournament will be coming together and playing as a team for four quarters," Titans coach Alysia Hugret said. "This season, I don't think that we've put four quarters together. When we start out strong, we have a hard time keeping that intensity or we just don't start with a lot of intensity."

Third-seeded Richardton-Taylor and sixth-seeded Hebron-Glen Ullin wrap up the quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

"The biggest challenge for us is going to be our lack of depth," Raiders coach Brea Seime said. "We tend to get into some foul trouble at times and we're really young as far as our bench goes."

The Raiders had a 12-7 overall regular season record this year.

The winner of the Raiders-Bearcats game will face second-seeded Hazen at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the semifinals.

The semifinal winners automatically advance to the region tournament and play for the district championship Monday night.

The semifinal losers immediately fall back to Monday's regional-qualifier games against Saturday's consolation semifinal winners.

Dickinson Trinity dealt Hazen its only loss, 63-56, on Jan. 20. The Bison are 12-6 overall.

"I think we're sitting pretty good," Bison coach Sandy McKay said. "We've really been concentrating on working together as a team and talking more on the offense. I guess we're trying to go in there with our eyes wide open."
