BEULAH -- Gregg Grinsteinner's team walked away with a win. But the coach wasn't too happy about it.

Dickinson Trinity escaped with a 39-37 victory against Beulah in a District 14 boys basketball game that is likely to be a preview of a district tournament quarterfinal game in two weeks.

"The game was interesting," Grinsteinner said. "It was just one of those games where the harder you try, it seemed like things were going the other way."

Sophomore Robbie Morey made a pair of 3-pointers and led the Titans to their third straight win with a team-high 14 points. He added a game-high three assists.

The game was tight the whole way with Beulah holding a 14-12 lead after the first quarter and Trinity holding one-point advantages after the second and third quarters.

Still, Grinsteinner couldn't help but feel like his team didn't play to its potential.

"At times we executed pretty well, but it was just a struggle the whole night," Grinsteinner said. "As a coach, you're like, OK that's over, lets move on to the next one."

Gabe Goetz led the Miners with 16 points.

The Titans, who improved to 8-5 and 2-2 in the district, wrap up their regular-season district schedule on Thursday night against Killdeer at Knights of Columbus Activities Center.

"We're ready to move on to Thursday," Grinsteinner said. "Hopefully both teams will come out relaxed and have a good game to get ready for the tournament."
