Breanna Messer had seven kills and four blocks to help lead a balanced Dickinson Trinity Titans team to a 3-1 victory over the Richardton-Taylor Raiders on Tuesday in a District 14 volleyball match.
The Titans spread the ball around en route to a 25-21, 22-25, 25-13, 25-14 victory.
Trinity coach Brad Foss said balance has been important for the Titans so far this season.
"We've got our fortes," Foss said. "We've got a whole team to contend with."
Noelle Steiner had six kills and two blocks and Katie Gordon had 13 digs and two assists for the Titans. Kayla Boesflug had five kills, Noel Lynch had four and Kaylee Schank added three.

"We've got three hitters who are going to hit the ball all the time in the front row," Foss said. "You can't focus in on any one of them."
Richardton-Taylor, meanwhile, was a totally different animal, relying on Katie Zent for the majority of their offense. Zent had 12 kills to lead the Raiders.
Trinity's only setback came in the second game when the Raiders took a 25-22 win.
"At times we looked really good and at times we really had our feet stuck in the mud," Foss said.
However, Foss said despite looking sluggish at times, he said the Titans have started to rely more on consistency and stamina to win plays.
"In year's past, we had the terminators who would slam the ball down," Foss said. "This year, we're going to have to outlast a lot of different plays."
The Titans hit the road to take on Bowman at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
