MEDORA - Winter visitor center hours will be in effect at Theodore Roosevelt National Park begin Friday.
The South Unit Visitor Center in Medora is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will be closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Painted Canyon Visitor Center closes for the winter Friday.
The North Unit Visitor Center south of Watford City is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CT Thursday through Monday and closes for the winter Nov. 12.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park is open 365 days a year. The scenic drives in the North and South Units are open during the winter months as weather and road conditions permit.
