A man and a woman were injured in a car collision Saturday night at the intersection of Eighth Street and South Main Avenue.
Andrew Welch, 18, of Dickinson, was stopped on Eighth Street Southeast in his 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup when another vehicle pulled up next to him, obstructing his vision, he told the Dickinson Police Department.

He pulled into the intersection and hit a 2002 Chevrolet driven by Kimberly Wald, 22, also of Dickinson, who was driving south down the avenue.
Welch was uninjured. His passenger, Shauvonne Cardona, 18, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital by the Dickinson Ambulance Service with unknown injuries.
Wald had to be extracted rom her vehicle. She was taken by Dickinson Ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Her passenger, Karen Valley, 79, was not injured in the crash.
