Four people escaped serious injury during a two-vehicle accident early Friday morning on Interstate 94.
Lester J. Iverson, 21, Belfield, was driving a 1984 Chevrolet S-10 pickup eastbound on I-94. Also traveling east at the same time was Dean Grenstiner, 42, Bismarck, who was driving a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix, with passengers Sue Grenstiner, 8, and Michelle Grenstiner, 5.
Iverson turned into the left lane to pass the Grenstiner vehicle near mile post 44. As Iverson was passing, Grenstiner made a left turn to go back westbound.
The Iverson vehicle hit the Grenstiner vehicle in the back, and both vehicles slid into the median before coming to rest on their wheels facing southwest.
Iverson was not wearing a seatbelt but was uninjured. All three people in the Grenstiner vehicle were wearing seatbelts but were all taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson by the Belfield Ambulance, where they were treated and released.
