Areas of southwest North Dakota could receive up to 1 to 3 inches of snow Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Bismarck.
Some areas of western North Dakota could receive patchy and light freezing drizzle prior to the snow, which could lead to slick roads.
The heaviest snowfall is expected to fall along the Highway 200 corridor from Theodore Roosevelt National Park to Beulah and as far east as Carrington.
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for western and central North Dakota.
