A vehicle fire ignited early Sunday morning in a parking lot behind an apartment building on Third Avenue West.
Dickinson Volunteer Fire Chief Bob Sivak said the vehicle that caught fire belonged to Curtis Wells.
"The vehicle was totally destroyed," Sivak said. "We suspect an electrical problem with the vehicle but the damage is so heavy that we couldn't prove that, so the cause is undetermined."
The vehicle is estimated to be a $7,500 loss.
Sivak said the high winds on Sunday fanned the fire. Although the fire was contained to one vehicle, Sivak said the fire's heat caused other property damage.

"There was some heat damage to two vehicles parked on either side of it," Sivak said.
He added the side molding on the vehicles melted and their paint was discolored. Sivak had not determined an estimated amount of damage for the other two vehicles.
He said the fire department received the call at about 4 a.m., and responded with 11 firefighters and two fire trucks. Sivak added the department had the incident under control by 4:41 a.m. with the last truck leaving the scene at about 5:13 a.m.
