WAHPETON (AP) -- The Highway Patrol has identified the victims of a crash involving two cars and a sugar beet truck in Wahpeton.
Authorities said 18-year-old Antoinette Gjesdal of Wahpeton, who was driving one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash Tuesday afternoon.
The patrol said her car was entering an intersection of the state Highway 210 bypass on Wahpeton's western edge when it was struck by the sugar beet truck, then spun into another car.
The patrol said the beet truck driver, 52-year-old Cathleen Dean of Barney, and the driver of the other car, 37-year-old Mary Motzko of Wahpeton, were injured.
Patrol Sgt. Brian Niewand said an early investigation shows the beet truck ran a stop sign.
