BISMARCK (AP) -- The National Park Service says visitation and spending were up at Theodore Roosevelt National Park in 2010.

The agency says 623,700 people visited the western North Dakota park in 2010 and spending totaled $29.5 million at the park and surrounding communities. That's up from 586,900 visitors in 2009, and $26.9 million in spending.

The Park Service says the spending supported 527 jobs in 2010, up from 455 in 2009.
