One Adams County commissioner has a firm grasp on her seat while the other may have to give it up to a newcomer.
Kathy Vliem of Lemmon, S.D. grabbed almost 40 percent of the votes, meaning she could go on to serve a second four-year term if voting goes the same way Nov. 6.
Anthony Larson of Hettinger took 30.98 percent, narrowly passing by Gene Seamands, also of Hettinger, by 2.4 percent.
All three will go on to the general elections in November.
