A 24-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting an elderly woman in March pleaded not guilty during a hearing at the Stark County Courthouse Monday afternoon.
Nick Jay Webster, an Idaho native residing in Dickinson, is charged with three felonies: burglary, gross sexual imposition and interfering with a telephone during an emergency call.
He waived his right to have a preliminary hearing Monday.
Webster is accused of entering an 83-year-old woman's home and sexually assaulting her before fleeing on foot. He also allegedly grabbed the telephone away from the victim when she attempted to call police, according to his criminal complaint.
When officers arrived at the scene they saw Webster watching them from a nearby apartment complex, according to the Dickinson Police Department.
