WILLISTON (AP) -- The Williston City Commission has approved boosting the number of firefighters at the city's airport.
The Williston Herald reports that the airport will have four full-time firefighters instead of three part-time firefighters.
Airport Manager Steven Kjergaard says the change will make for better response times and longer coverage. He says it's difficult to retain firefighters on a part-time basis.
Kjergaard says the additional staffing will cost the city about $55,000.
