WATFORD CITY - McKenzie County officials have released the name of a woman whose body was found several months ago outside of an RV park.
Aimee Szabo, 36, died of “combined drug poisoning” from prescription drugs and alcohol, according to autopsy reports. Hypothermia was a contributing factor, said Detective Daniel Blood of the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office.
Szabo was reported missing by her husband on April 10. A deputy found her body the same day in a field near the couple’s home in Ridgeview RV Park north of Fairview.
They had recently moved there from Colorado, Blood said.
Authorities say Szabo’s death, which happened on a particularly cold night, was likely accidental. An investigation has been closed, Blood said.

A service for Szabo was held in April in Colorado, according to a Gofundme site set up by a friend.
