A woman died Friday morning after getting pinned under a truck after it rolled in Morton County.

The truck was traveling east on Interstate 94 at about 10 a.m. Friday when a female driver lost control of it.

The truck slid into the ditch and the tires caught in the snow, causing the truck to roll one and a half times, according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol press release.

A 77-year-old Hazen man was injured and his wife, who was seated in the rear right seat, was ejected through the rear window and was pinned under the truck. New Salem Fire and Rescue extracated the woman who was taken to St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck. She died later from her injuries, according to a Highway Patrol report.

The male passenger was treated and released from the hospital.
