STANLEY -- A woman was killed and the male driver was injured when the pickup they were riding in rolled Sunday afternoon near Stanley.
The pickup drove off the right shoulder of the graveled road and into the ditch heading northbound on 83rd Avenue Northwest, about one mile north of Highway 2, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said in a release. The vehicle then crossed back across the highway into the left shoulder before further attempts were unsuccessful regaining control. The vehicle entered the east ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its top.
The female passenger was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
