BUTTE, Mont. (AP) -- A former Anaconda resident has been given a three-year deferred sentence for embezzling thousands of dollars from a brewery and restaurant where she worked as a bookkeeper.
In November, Mardine Silvia pleaded no contest to felony theft by embezzlement for stealing more than $19,000 from the Rocky Mountain Brewery between May and October 2007.
She was sentenced Wednesday by District Judge Ray Dayton and ordered to pay $19,400 in restitution.
Court records say Silvia, who now lives in Sparks, Nev., charged travel and vacation expenses to the company.
