PIERRE, S.D. — Six more COVID-19 deaths have been recorded in South Dakota, bringing the total death toll to 216.
The South Dakota Department of Health on Friday, Sept. 25, reported the deaths were in Butte, Douglas, Gregory, Meade, Minnehaha counties.
Three were in the 80 and older age range, two were in their 50s, and one was in their 70s. There are 194 South Dakota residents hospitalized for COVID-19.
The state reported 457 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total positive case count to 20,554 with 3,507 of those cases being active and 16,831 of the cases having recovered.
