BISMARCK — Following are the North Dakota Department of Health COVID-19 case rates, deaths, hospitalizations and vaccinations as of Tuesday, April 27. Because all data is preliminary, some numbers and totals may change from one day to the next.
Statewide case rates
- NEW CASES: 190
- TOTAL ACTIVE CASES: 1,047
- TOTAL CASES: 106,998
- TOTAL RECOVERED: 104,465
- DAILY TEST POSITIVITY RATE: 6.1%
North Dakota's active case count increased by 16 on Tuesday. Cass County, which includes Fargo, saw 62 new cases, bringing its active case count to 266. Burleigh County, which includes Bismarck, saw 21 new cases. The two-week rolling average positivity rate is 4.4%.
ACTIVE HOSPITALIZATIONS: 33
DEATHS, NEWLY REPORTED:
TOTAL DEATHS: 1,486
The state reported no new COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday. Hospitalization fell by 12 over the previous day from an April high of 45.
FIRST DOSE ADMINISTERED: 274,962 (46.9% of population)
FULL VACCINE COVERAGE: 237,531 (40.5% of population)
Vaccination rates have begun to plateau with many younger residents having turned down the shot to this point. The health department urges residents to seek more information at www.health.nd.gov/covidvaccinelocator.
