Man in custody after firing multiple shots inside a Grand Forks home

GRAND FORKS - A man faces multiple charges in relation to an investigation of shots fired in Grand Forks.

Salvador Hernandez, 26, was arrested Sunday evening after police responded at 6:29 p.m. to the 1100 block of North 55th Street for a report of two gun shots fired inside a residence, according to a news release. No one was injured and the suspect was apprehended without incident, police said.

Officers also confiscated a firearm but didn't say what type. There is no danger to the public, police said in the release.

Hernandez is expected to be charged in Grand Forks District Court with terrorizing, reckless endangerment and ingestion of a controlled substance. Police did not say what drug he allegedly ingested.

The investigation is ongoing and officers encouraged those with information on the case to call the Police Department at (701) 787-8000. Residents also can submit a tip at the department's Facebook page, at www.grandforksgov.com/government/police or via the Tip411 phone app.
