Bradley "Brad" Scott

Bradley "Brad" J. Scott died on March 29, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at Parkway Funeral Service Chapel, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 14th. A time of sharing will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 13 at Parkway Funeral Service.

Bradley J. Scott was born April 13, 1958, to Terry and Shirley Scott. He was born in Rolette, and after a few years in Sherwood the family moved back to Rolette. Brad was active in sports and Future Farmers of America throughout his high school years. He graduated In 1976. He attended Bismarck State College and then went on to study economics at North Dakota State University. He was elected the class president his senior year of college.

His first job out of college was with Wells Fargo Bank in Minnesota. He later was able to transfer back to Bismarck North Dakota and after short time began employment with the U.S bank. He was approached to help lead Bismarck National Bank through its growth in the 90's and successfully built up a large commercial portfolio. In 2003 he went off on his own and founded Scott Financial Corporation. Through Scott Corporation, Brad was able to build a private bank dealing with commercial financial participation's

In 2016 Brad retired because of health reasons. Brad had a zest for life like no other. He loved to travel, pheasant hunt and ride his Harley or Spyder. One of his passions was to scuba dive. He knew where all the walleyes were and wasn't afraid to "show up" his buddies with a stringer full of fish.

Brad liked a clean car (he used A LOT of Windex ), a manicured lawn and a good cigar. He had an uncanny ability to "take charge" of any situation. Brad had a big heart and a true love for his numerous dogs.

Brad had a strong faith. He had courage and strength to be admired. Brad had a passion for making memories and above all he had an enormous love for his friends and family.

Brad had a great amount of close friends in life and he spent many summers at Lake Sakakawea. His Laker friends were Brad and Janet Bossort, Kurt and Bobbi Leier, Paul and Ruth Lacher, Pam Hauer and Duwayne Mill and Steve and Becky Lingle.

He is survived by his sisters, Deborah Scott, Glyndon, MN, Darci Scott, Billings, MT, Dawndi (Jody) Ulmer, West Fargo, ND, and his brothers, Blaine (Sherri) Rolette, ND, and Brook (Paula) Rolette, ND; several nieces and nephews, Nick (Kellie)Schaffer, Brittany (Kelly) Klemisch, Brannon (Amanda) Scott, Trevor Scott, Kaylee Scott, Taylor Scott, Hunter Ulmer, Jason (Kara) Ulmer and Megan (Chad) Carlson and Mary Erwin, Lakewood, CO.

He was preceded in death by his father Terry and his mother Shirley.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Gods Child project in Bismarck.
