Merlyn "Moby" Dick

The family of Merlyn "Moby" Dick, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Dickinson, ND would like to announce his permanent change of address. On May 2, 2019 at the age of 87, Moby was surrounded by his family when he took his last breath on earth and awoke in heaven in the arms of Jesus.

Moby was born and raised on the family farm in Nekoma, ND on March 13, 1932 to Charles and Mathilda (Wengeler) Dick. Moby was the oldest in a family of six children: Arlene (Frank) Huiet, Eugene (Marge) Dick, Beverly Altendorf, Jana (Mel) Davidson, Gary Dick (Peter Dixon).

Moby married Doris (Dalzell), the love of his life on Nov 13, 1952. They were best friends for over 66 years. God blessed them with four children: Bruce, Queen Valley, AZ, Roger, Gold Canyon, AZ, Marla (Chris) Tomchuk, Carson City, NV, and Kelly (Barb), Littleton, CO and their dear grandchildren: Jessica (Casey) Holm, Brandt (Tanya) Dick, Logan (Kelly) Small, Lindsay (Wren) McKittrick , Moriah Tomchuk, and great grandson, Manning Holm.

Moby was the manager of the Sears store in Dickinson until his retirement in 1990. Moby and Doris were "snowbirds" in Arizona for 22 years until they made Arizona their full-time home in 2012. Moby enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, fishing, boating, camping, snowmobiling and spending time with his loved ones.

Moby's "Celebration of Life" Service is on June 29, 2019 at Fellowship Square, Mesa, AZ.
