Bernice Tuhy

Bernice Tuhy, daughter of Steve E. and Mary (Fendrick) Tuhy, was born on June 30, 1945. She died on February 6, 2022 at the age of 76. Bernice’s Mass was held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Robert Shea as celebrant. Inurnment will took place at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson.

She attended country school Fayette #2 and graduated from Killdeer High School.

She chose to be adventurous and independent, living most of her life in Evansville, Indiana. In Spring of 2021, after an injury, she moved to an assisted living center. In November she had a near death encounter with COVID that left her weak and confused. After that she was transferred to Park Terrace Village Nursing Home where she passed away with hospice by her side.

Think of Bernice with respect, she carried a difficult cross.

Bernice is survived by her siblings, Bette Jane Boeshans, Carol (Jerome) Kuntz, Richard (Sandy) Tuhy and Jerry (Judy) Tuhy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Irene (Adam) Ell, MaryAnn (Arnold) Pachl, and Fred A. Boeshans; and niece, Jen Kuntz. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to your local Hospice.
