Jeanette Jablonsky, 90, a 60-year resident of West Sacramento, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Born in 1931 in North Dakota to Frank and Tillie Fischer, she lived her early life on the family farm outside South Heart, ND. In 1953 she married George Jablonsky, was a Navy wife for several years living on the East Coast and they eventually settled in West Sacramento in 1957 to raise their family, with son Dale was born in 1959. After 60 years of wedded bliss, Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband George in 2013 and had also lost three loving sisters, Marge Heafner, Dolores Beaudoin and Marie Gregory in years past.
Jeanette is survived by son Dale Jablonsky, and daughter-in-law Betty, with grandsons Jake (Taylor) and Max, great grandson Maddox, brothers Stan, Jim and Bill Fischer, sisters Irene Bosch, Kathy Deckert, Florence Fisher, Bernadette and Betty Fischer, and many, many other nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Jeanette was a dedicated public servant working her entire career at the California Employment Development Department.
Jeanette was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, and loved spending time with her family and making annual trips to the Midwest to visit her relatives of Jablonsky’s and Fischer’s. She was very active at Our Lady of Grace Parish, as well as other community groups over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Fri. May 6 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Grace Church. Jeanette will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
