The White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says President Joe Biden "has taken historic actions" at the border. I agree. Biden has taken historically horrible actions because of his willful intent of not securing the border.
Does anyone, anywhere think any of this is an accident? This is insanity and it continues day after day. We'll suffer the consequences of this assault on America for decades. It is an impeachable offense and Republicans should take prompt action.
The press secretary kicks into kindergarten spin mode when asked if the border is secure. If you go on to simply describe what is happening every day or report on the numbers put out by the Biden Administration's Customs and Border Patrol or Immigration and Customs Enforcement, she says it's "misinformation!" She adds, "we have to be very careful...on how we talk about this because if we talk about it in a way that is misinformation, then it helps the smugglers."
Deflect. Deny. It never ends.
The smugglers are already getting plenty of help from Team Biden. The numbers prove that story every single day.
Since Biden took office, a whopping 5.3 million illegal border crossings have been recorded. One million were “gotaways” who escaped into the U.S. Can you imagine what these "gotaways" have planned? If they had simply turned themselves in at the border, they would have received vouchers for food and housing. They also receive a plane ticket to their destination of choice. It's a red carpet welcome wagon. But they forgo those perks in favor of a "better" deal from the cartels without any record of their entry into the United States. This is the worst border crisis on record.

You may have recently heard about a prison break at a jail near the U.S.-Mexico border in Chihuahua, Mexico. Ten guards and seven inmates were killed. Thirty inmates escaped. These are cold-blooded killers. The prison is controlled by the cartels. The same cartels controlling the trafficking of illegal immigrants into the U.S. Now, they empty prisons a few miles from the border. Where do you think those criminals are headed? I would not be one bit surprised if they were already in the United States.
The bad news goes on. Illicit drugs are flowing into the country and only a fraction of them are being intercepted. Nearly 2,900 pounds of deadly fentanyl and 10,722 pounds of methamphetamine were seized at the southern border in November alone, with much more likely getting through. Where is it headed? Where you live. Just ask local law enforcement how much more they are seeing these days.
Rainbow fentanyl (a deadly cartel product to target children and teens) has been increasingly caught crossing the border. According to Families Against Fentanyl, fentanyl overdoses are now the leading cause of death for Americans age 18 to 45, and synthetic opioid deaths have skyrocketed 80% in two years.
In April 2021, Biden claimed “we’ve now gotten control” of the border crisis. By no metric is that true. It was and is a lie.
