I am very glad we have our dog park for our dogs. I do have some issues though.
It is winter now and we have had a fair amount of snow.
Our dog park has four gates. Two have broken latches and two won’t close because of snow removal at entrances. That means the dogs can get out if they try.
We asked for light in the dog park, especially in the winter. We can’t see our dogs in the winter. A lot of people get off at 5 p.m. and it is dark then. It is staying lighter longer now but it is a big issue in the winter.

The city did put in an LED light which lights about a 7 foot square area, but it is very inadequate for watching dogs. We care as much for our dogs as the softball players care to see when they play softball.
We have no access to bathroom facilities for ourselves and our children unless there is a softball practice or a tournament. A port-a-potty would be nice.
When a facility is put up it needs to be maintained and safe for us and our dogs. That is all we are asking for.
