Several weeks ago, Operation Christmas Child finished up another week of collecting filled shoeboxes for needy children around the world. This year 1,513 boxes filled with small toys, school supplies and hygiene items were collected from all over southwest North Dakota! Many individuals, families, churches, schools, businesses, civic organizations and other groups participated in the outreach this year.
I would like to thank everyone who participated as your generosity is greatly appreciated. Operation Christmas Child is an outreach ministry of Samaritan's Purse. The filled shoeboxes are a way to show God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Most of these children have nothing due to famine, war, natural disasters, or neglect due to various reasons and most have never received a Christmas gift before.
The outreach continues to grow due to the generosity and faithfulness of many people.
Thank you again for your participation. Have a blessed and very Merry Christmas!
