Stark County citizens deserve better leadership than the current commissioners seeking to be reelected. On the very controversial wind farm issue Jay Elkin voted four times. He voted YES, NO, NO and finally YES. Elkin voted NO for a wind farm proposed for his neighborhood and YES for a wind farm in someone else's neighborhood. Under the leadership of Elkin the Commission restricted public input at the required public hearing, scheduled the final commission vote minutes after the Planning and Zoning meeting to avoid uncomfortable public push back.
Elkin clearly does not care about the concerns of the majority of Stark County, only himself and his neighbors.
Leslie Ross has the necessary experience and commitment to follow the rules required of elected officials. Ross also has the discipline and intellect to make informed decisions representing the best interests of all Stark County residents.
