Construction for the multi-year plan will have several phases of construction to accommodate patient care, said CHI Health, and will start with an emergency room expansion.
On June 14, residents of Churchs Ferry voted 5-1 for the dissolution of the town. The town will no longer be recognized as an incorporated city, effective Sept. 1.
Last summer, FWS crews from Devils Lake surveyed about 3,000 small farmed wetlands, finding water in only 16 of those wetlands. This year, by comparison, “probably 2,900” of those 3,000 wetlands had water.
From where the lake was before freeze-up last fall at elevation 1,447.1, Devils Lake has risen about 3.5 feet so far this year to an elevation of 1450.6 feet.
The order comes after SkyWest Airlines notified 29 airports last week that it would be filing a 90-day notice to terminate service to those airports with DOT.
