Jamestown Public School District officials are investigating the response to racial taunts and actions that were made during a basketball game Jan. 31 between Jamestown and Bismarck High School.
Amy Tarno is in the Stutsman County Correctional Center where she awaits formal charges.
"Either the students knew what they were doing and thought it was OK, or they were clueless as to the sting of their racist chants," writes columnist Jim Shaw. "Either scenario is inexcusable."
