Dickinson Trinity blows out Beach

BEACH — The Dickinson Trinity volleyball team made quick work of Beach, defeating the Region 7 opponent in three sets with scores of 25-18, 25-9 and 25-8 on Tuesday, Oct. 24.

The Buccaneers battled with the Titans in the first set, losing by just seven points. The Titans cut the Buccaneers’ offensive production in half in the last two sets, only allowing nine and eight points.

Senior outside hitter Sarah Mayer led the Titans’ offense with 11 kills, followed by juniors Masy Kuntz and Bre Tessier who added five each.

Tessier and Kuntz along with freshman Amaya Willer and senior Megan Krebs, earned one block each.

Senior setter Alexa Walby had 26 assists on the night.

Beach was led by sophomore Sam Oech who had two kills and one block. Defensively, senior Catie Loftsgard led with nine digs, followed by junior Mikayla Paul who had six.

Seniors Amber Sickler and Bailey Jahner and junior Farrah Zeller each earned seven digs on the night.

The Titans stay undefeated in Region 7 play and are now 28-7-3 overall.
